I have tried limiting myself to stricktly one medium, I find that I am at heart, a Renaissance artist. I sculpt and draw, juggle swords and raise the dead, but how do you put that on a job application? You dont. Instead I display paintings and keeps the whole necromancer thing to myself. . .and to my army of undead garden gnomes.
"on a scale from 1 to Doug, you sir are a 3 on your best day!" --Former Boss
I admit that my ideas tend to be ubsurd, morbid, and neon. But when has that formula not been memorable? I dare you to look over my designs and not be haunted by them, or at the realy least inspired by them.
My illustrations tend represent a singular scene from a much larger production that takes place in a world bombarded by cartoon imagery and coffee. When I set out to make a scene, I often cast animals to fill the main rolls. Not that there is anything wrong with smelly people, I just like to draw fur, feathers and scales, instead of fleshy folds and armpits. Once I've decided the cast, I let them interact with my imagination until ubsurdidtey wins or I wake up from my nap. The moment from the scene thats stick out the best, becomes one of the images you see below
